Who am I

There is no “we” yet, just me. Just like you, I was once trying to find sources of knowledge and landed in many places. And I think it would be cool to exchange knowledge with newcomers like I once was.

Comments

Heads up on my information collecting (Sounds scary right? Don’t worry I only use it for basic website maintainance for a moment)– when you drop a comment on my site, I collect the info you enter in the comment form. Plus, I also get your IP address and browser details to help keep spam out (nobody likes spam, so I just have to verify you’re human).

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites (Youtube)

Sometimes, I spice up my articles with embedded content like YouTube videos. I want you to enjoy these without any worries. Here’s the deal: I only use YouTube for videos, and that’s it. No other third-party websites are in the mix. When you watch a video embedded on my site, it’s pretty much like watching it directly on YouTube. As for your privacy? Well, YouTube might collect some data, use cookies, or track the video interaction (you know, the usual youtube stuff we all use it Youtube’s Privacy Policy), especially if you’re logged in to their platform. But hey, I don’t share your info with anyone else, and I don’t add any extra tracking. Your privacy is super important to me, so feel free to enjoy the videos with peace of mind!

Who we share your data with

In the event that you need to reset your password, please be aware that your IP address will be included in the reset email. This inclusion is a standard security practice to ensure the safety of your account. Apart from this specific scenario, we assure you that your personal data is kept confidential and is not shared with any third parties.

How long we retain your data

  • Your Comments: When you drop a comment, I hang onto it and its metadata indefinitely. Why? It’s so I can instantly recognize and approve any of your future comments without making them wait in the moderation line. It’s all about making things smoother for you!
  • Your Profile Info: For those of you signing up on the site, I keep the personal info you provide in your user profile. Don’t worry – you can always check out, edit, or even delete your personal info (except, your username is there to stay). It’s all in your hands! And just so you know, website admins (that’s me!) can also see and edit that info, but it’s just to help manage things better, nothing else.

What rights you have over your data

Your data, your rules – that’s how I see it. If you’ve got an account here or have ever left comments, guess what? You can contact me (email, discord ) for the exported file of all the personal data I’ve got about you, based on what you’ve shared on this site.

And hey, if you ever want me to wipe out your personal data from my records, just say the word. I’ll take care of it, no questions asked.
